Convoy telemetry · Level-4 corridor escort

Corridor watch

The escort phone measures every GPS fix against the approved corridor: cross-track distance to the nearest leg, road grade, speed. More than 300 m off the corridor paints RED, pages base and the incident commander with CORRIDOR BREACH — possible hijack and opens a security / QRF escalation. Legs marked as dead zones (canyons, tunnels, no cell or LoRa) start a countdown on entry: expected exit from length and grade, a grace window, and if the vehicle has not checked out by the deadline base fires the overdue escalation — the vehicle cannot, it has no signal in there. Fixes queue offline and replay when the convoy regains coverage. Planning aid: the convoy commander and the security lead govern.

One waypoint per line: lat, lng[, elev] [DZ length_km grace_min] [name]. DZ marks the leg from that waypoint as a dead zone.

      Cross-track dxt = asin(sin(d₁₃ ÷ R) · sin(θ₁₃ − θ₁₂)) · R against each corridor leg, perpendicular foot clamped to the segment; breach > 300 m (amber > 150 m); grade % = Δelev ÷ Δdist; dead-zone transit = length ÷ (base speed × (1 − 0.045·|grade %|), floor 35 %); grace = the leg's max grace or 1.5 × transit; base sweeps watches on every board load, fix and escalation call.
